Quantum Parametrics LLC (QP) provides test software, test specifications, and test hardware development services, general contracting and system debug services as well as testing services. Focused specifically on IEEE-1394, QP develops tools and methodologies to shorten test times while providing excellent test coverage. QP provides standardized test services for IEEE-1394-1995/a-2000, IEEE-1394b-2002, 1394 OHCI and End Product Logo Testing. QP has developed relationships with several test service providers around the world to enable localized 1394 Trade Association iLink and FireWire 1394 Compliant logo testing.
IEEE-1394-1995/a-2000 PHYsical Layer Testing
QP provides a variety of IEEE-1394-1995/a-2000 testing services. Targeted at all product phases from prototype to production, QP services provide a cost-effective means of verifying quality before products are released to market. Having tested over 30 IEEE-1394-1995/a-2000 PHY QP has a refined well documented test methodology that can be executed quickly and effectively.
IEEE-1394b-2002 PHYsical Layer Testing
In addition to QP’s IEEE-1394-1995/a-2000 PHY testing, QP also provides testing services specifically targeted at IEEE-1394b-2002 beta and bilingual PHY functionality.
OHCI Link Controller Testing
QP offers an in-depth OHCI test service that verify every DMA, register bit, and function. Using QP’s QP-NT environment the OHCI test suite used has complete control over low level functions such as interrupts, byte alignment, and DMA channel program creation. This low level control allows QP to automate very complex tests which reduces test times to days instead of weeks.
End Product Testing
QP is an certified test house for the 1394 Trade Associations iLink/FireWire 1394 Compliant logo program. Richard Mourn, president of QP, is the author of many 1394TA logo program specifications. QP tools are also mandatory for several logo program tests. To continue this level of engineering involvement QP has developed relationships with several test service providers around the world to enable localized 1394 Trade Association iLink and FireWire 1394 Compliant logo testing.
